Final post!!

Hey, I'm going to write about the experience of write a blog this semester. Making a recapitulation I think it was very funny, interactive and different to write posts in another language and talk about random topics, I had so much fun reading the posts of my classmates about their daily experiences in the University, their liking or the place that they would like to travel.
At the beginning I didn’t like so much this space, because I’m bored and I have never had topic to write, but now I really enjoy doing this.

I have never been good writing but I'm trying the best of me and hope you see that. During the semester I learn many new words and technical writing, and improved my writing skill in English.
I really don’t know what to put in a future, because this is so didactic and for me it’s ok.
I would like to write about meals, international food, I loooove the Peruvian and Chinese food, they’re awesome. I am always willing to taste new food. I love the meal that has different colors, specially red and green.

Sadly, the posts are now drawing to a close but I hope the next semester our teacher make us post again in the blog.

Good bye, have beautiful holidays

Italy

Today I'm going to talk about a country that I think is sooo awesome, beautiful and I hope to visit it someday. I think I like Italy because once my dad showed me some pictures about a city that was on the water!!! I was 10 years old (Yes, still remebering) and I couldn't associate a city with the water underfoot, I imaginated it would convert in Atlantis. Then he showed me a vaporetto (a rounded 230-passenger boat) that was in board in the Grand Canal.
The canal may no longer be teeming with merchandise-laden cargo boats, but it is still the main thoroughfare of Venice, and only a little imagination is needed to understand its historical importance. The three and a half kilometre  trip from the railway station to San Marco provides a superb introduction to the city, telling you more about the way Venice works – and has always worked – than any historical tome.  I'd like to cruise in one of them.
And the other beautiful Venecia's place is the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, It was a fellowship formed by Venetian citizens that prospered in the  sixteenth century. It was created to assist citizens in times of plague.
Venecia has maaany beautiful places but I just talked about two.
Hope someday you could travel to Venecia.

For me, this semester hasn’t been good at all, and I think I haven’t done something so “special”, but  I’m going to talk about a friend that was gone.
Since we start the career many people  had gone but there’s one friend in special, I’ts Nicole. I knew the career was so difficult but she  didn’t held the pressure to go good in the university. It hurt me so much, because she was so nice and I was so sad when she said goodbye, It was unexpected
Since she has gone, we still talking, but we can’t met frequently because she is from other city. I hope it was her best decisión and I hope see her the next year in the Medicine Faculty of Universidad de Chile and I hope she could be really happy

Smelling natural herb

I was reading an article about the Romero, so I think it would be nice to share it with you.
I didn't know that the Romero's scent helps to increase the memory till a 75%!!!, did you? I was so surprised when I read this interesant article because now that I'm studying in the university my brain just don't retains  excessive information.
In addition to improving long-term memory and the ability to perform mental arithmetic exercises, this new finding attributed a great ability to encourage prospective memory, turning it in a great place for modern life, always so bombarded of small tasks.
The participants who were in the room with the Romero's smell did much better scores on the performance of such activities that required recall for execution. The persons in the room perfumed had higher blood concentrations of 1,8-cineole, present in the blood biochemical compound, which is also found in the Romero's essence oil.
Also this beautiful plant has others benefit like: astringent, antioxidant and antiseptic. It helps to relieve muscular pain and tension and headache
Well, it may be that we could use natural compounds to improve our daily lives.

Pub Med rocks!!

Hey guys, today I'm gonna talk you about a web site I use frequently.
This is PubMed. I know so much of you already knows this site.
Pub Med is a service of the US National Library of Medicine, in this site, you can find a lot of papers (a lot!!), all of them are in english (so, know enligsh is very important because google translate is not good at all). Well, there are papers about many topic that are related to Medicine and Science research.
I dind't find it for coincidence, Miss Kuky taught us how to use it  in a biology class, because we had to do a report about the  "Scientific method" and we had to look for papers that were related to some body measures, traduce it and then talk about what was it.
Since that time I haven't stopped using it, it helps me to understand some topics about odontology and general Medicine.
In the section that says "search" you have to put the keys word to find a specific papers, otherwise will appear you so much. If you want a paper not so old or not so recent, you can go to the left of you monitor and press specific things like the seniority of the paper, etc.

If you're interested in some investigation, you would really use it to direct your way, also it  soak you of wisdom.

Click here to start using PubMed,
bye.

A photograph

I love the photography in general, but I'm not good taking photos.
Now I have chosen a simply photo that was taken by me with a cellphone ahaha.
The child in the picture is above the ceiling of a house and he's trying to get a ball that was some metres away him. Before that he was playing with others kids in the street, and he climbed for the window of the house to above. I was so scared!! so I helped him to get the ball and then he hugged me. When I took the picture, the child looked at me and then he smile, just for me. He looks so happy and somehow he makes me smile. It was soooo cute, in that moment I wanted to press his cheek because of his tenderness.
It was taken at 6o' clock, in the evening, so the sun was warm and it's like if the sun light him.

And that’s all, the innocent smile he did made me think about the simply things that can make happy to someone.
He's my nephew, and I love him!

Family

Today I'm very  emotional, so, I wanna talk you about my family.
I love so much my family and I like spend the time with them, specially my mother. She's a teacher, so when I was kid, I went to her job so many times. It was so funny because I was her "little teacher". My father is a practice person, He is organizated and conservative and have so many experience of many things. When I have a technical problem he's always for me. My sister is so nice and she cooks so good, I like to taste the food she prepare everyday, but what i love the most is the veggie food she cooks!! Unfortunately this year I'm away from my home so I can't. My brother is Otaku or something like that. He loves the anime and always invite me to watch series but I think that is so bored ahaha.
Whateaver, they're so important for me, they have always supported me in bad situations. I'm thankful to have this beautiful family. :)

Favourite technological object

Hey, today I'm going to talk you about my favourite technological object, It is (like many other have chosen) my cellphone. I think this is so useful to be conected with the entire world. I can be informated about all the world notices, I can call or text my family and friends. But what I like the most is the aplications that I have, Facebook, Whatsapp, e-mal and u-cursos are so important to me. I check it on my phone everyday. Teachers upload all the material and marks to u-cursos, so I can't stay a day without it.
I really like the cellphone because It have so much functions; Like alarm, for listening to music, to take pictures and record my classes.
I have it since two years, It is a bit old but still working so good.
I think the life would be so hard and difficult without this awesome artefact.

Bye

Hopes and expectations

My expectations for this semester are all about my academic life. Now I'm taking different subjects like Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry and
physics. They're very difficult. What I expect  is pass all my subjects of the University. I really hope that because It would mean that I have to make the subject again.

I haven't had so much time, so I am not doing any extracurriculars things. The university is really so hard. I wish I wasn’t so busy because I don't have time to be with my friends or travel to my home.

Maybe next year I could take others things like yoga or some sport such as Volleyball.

Bye :)

About me

This is me:
I'm Milenka Andrea Muñoz Iribarren, I know this is a little weird and some people just can't spell it.
I'm 17 years old and I'm from Vallenar. I love my city because It's so quite and hot, the people is nice and kind. My family is formed by my parents, Ilse and Homero, my sister Paulina and my brother Albert. I'm the little son but when I was 8 years old my sister Paulina had a beautiful daughter. I didn't understand that so much, but I was so happy because I was an uncle!!! Then, I wasn't the spoilt anymore and I understood what did that mean :-(.
When I was in 2nd grade, Paulina had a new baby, Ian. I am actually his godmother.

I graduated the last year, I went to the same school for 12 years, and made so many good friends. I really love them.
On December, I did the P.S.U, my last year on the school was so frustrating, even I was almost in tears sometimes because of the pressure, I knew I wanted to study odontology in the Universidad de Chile since 2nd grade but I didn't want to go home. I was not prepared.  I can say 2013 was such a bad year.

Finally, I entered  to Universidad the Chile, I was a little happy, a little nervous.
Santiago is a complicated city, and the difference that it has with Vallenar is so huge. I don't like Santiago's locomotion and the way his people look at yourself. They're so serious .
Well, Santiago isn't bad at all, I can get anything I want (wonderful!!), in my native city there aren't so much things and sometimes we had to travel to other city to get specific things.

I like to watch series like New Girl, Sherlock and Breaking Bad. I don't play any sport or instrument (such a bored girl) but I played volleyball a years ago. I really enjoy listening to music, It makes me feel not so alone here. Muse, Nirvana, Pink Floyd and Coldplay are my favorite bands.
Umh, thats all.
